Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 30, 2026
This page explains which cookies and similar technologies we use on silverlawgroup.com, the website of Silver Law Group, P.C., a personal injury law firm with offices in New York, and why. Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (such as pixels, tags, scripts and browser storage) perform comparable functions, and references to “cookies” in this policy include them.
We use strictly necessary cookies at all times. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) are used only after you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer of every page.
We use Google Consent Mode. Before you make a choice, or if you decline analytics cookies, Google Analytics does not set cookies on your device, although Google may receive limited cookieless signals (such as a page load, a timestamp, browser information, and your consent status) used to model aggregate statistics. Similarly, Microsoft Clarity is not loaded, and sets no cookies on your device, until you give analytics consent.
The tables below list each cookie, its provider, the domain that sets it, how long it remains on your device, and its purpose. Some cookies are set by third parties, such as Google and Microsoft, whose use of information is governed by their own privacy policies. For more information on how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
This policy is intended to comply with applicable New York law, including the New York General Business Law (§349, which prohibits deceptive acts and practices, and §§899-aa and 899-bb, the SHIELD Act), and with applicable federal law.
You may describe what happened in our contact or case-evaluation form so that our attorneys can evaluate your claim. Please share only the details needed for that purpose. Submitting a form does not create an attorney-client relationship with Silver Law Group, P.C.
Strictly Necessary (Essential)
Essential cookies enable basic functions and are necessary for the proper function of the website. These cookies cannot be switched off in our systems and are not used for analytics or advertising.
We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect our contact and case-evaluation forms from spam and automated abuse. Turnstile processes technical information about your browser and device to tell people apart from bots.
Our page cache also stores two values (litespeed_docref and litespeed_reloaded) in your browser’s session storage. They help pages load correctly and are deleted when you close the browser tab.
Statistics / Analytics
Statistics cookies help us understand how visitors use our website, such as which pages they visit and how they navigate between them. These cookies are set only if you consent to them through our cookie banner, and you may withdraw that consent at any time.
Embedded Content
Some pages, including our client reviews section, contain YouTube videos embedded in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). The video player loads only when you click play. When you play a video, the player streams it from Google’s servers and sends YouTube playback and usage information (such as watch time and playback quality), together with your IP address. No cookies were set in our testing, including after playback, but YouTube may store data in your browser’s local storage.
Our client reviews section also displays reviewers’ profile photos, which are loaded from Google’s servers (lh3.googleusercontent.com). When these images load, Google receives your IP address and standard browser information. No cookies were set in our testing.
Staff who sign in to the website’s administration area receive additional login cookies. These are not set for visitors.
Managing Cookies
You can accept, decline, or withdraw your consent to analytics cookies at any time by clicking the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer of every page. Most web browsers also allow you to view, block, or delete cookies through their settings; please consult your browser’s help documentation for instructions.
You may also prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. You can prevent Microsoft Clarity from collecting data by declining analytics cookies through our Cookie Preferences tool.
Please note that blocking or deleting cookies may affect how the website functions. For example, strictly necessary cookies are required to remember your cookie choices, and disabling them may prevent certain pages or forms from working properly.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals. Because there is no uniform industry standard for recognizing or responding to DNT signals, our website does not currently respond to them.
We do honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. Where technically supported, when your browser sends a GPC signal we treat it as a request to opt out of analytics cookies, including Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, for that browser.
Data Security and Retention
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the security, confidentiality, and integrity of information collected through this website, consistent with the New York Stop Hacks and Improve Electronic Data Security (SHIELD) Act, N.Y. General Business Law § 899-bb.
In the event of a breach of the security of our systems involving private information, we will notify affected New York residents and the appropriate New York State authorities in accordance with N.Y. General Business Law § 899-aa.
Cookies remain on your device for the durations listed in the tables above. Analytics data collected through Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity is retained in accordance with those durations and the data retention settings we have configured with each provider, after which it is deleted or aggregated.
No Sale of Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Information collected through analytics cookies is used solely to understand and improve how visitors use our website.
Children
This website is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), 15 U.S.C. § 6501 et seq. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Attorney Advertising / No Attorney-Client Relationship
ATTORNEY ADVERTISING. This website may be considered attorney advertising under the New York Rules of Professional Conduct, 22 NYCRR § 1200.0, including Rule 7.1. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
The information on this website is provided for general informational purposes only and is not legal advice. Use of this website, including submitting information through a contact or case-evaluation form, sending us an email, or calling us, does not create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship is formed only by a written engagement agreement with the firm.
Information you submit through this website before we have agreed in writing to represent you is used to evaluate your claim and contact you, but it may not be protected by the attorney-client privilege. Please do not send time-sensitive information, such as an approaching legal deadline, through this website; call us instead.
Governing Law
This Cookie Policy and any dispute arising out of or relating to it are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, our practices, or applicable law. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and we encourage you to review this page periodically.
